If you are a patient or a friend, relative or carer for a patient who has or had pancreatic cancer, or other tumours affecting the pancreas or bile duct and from the Wessex region

you are welcome to attend

The Speaker for this meeting is Jac Tambellini who set up the Macmilllian centre and also works with the Cancer Research network. At this meeting you will have the opportunity to discuss your views on how the support group should be run in the future, and input valued. Any feedback on ways to improve the service and patient experience would be very welcome.

This group aims to meet every 4 months and enables you to meet others in a similar situation, share experiences and be supported.

The Wessex Pancreas Cancer Support Network is for patients and others from the Central South Coast Pancreatic Cancer Network, covering Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, Dorset, Salisbury and South Wilts, Chichester and West Sussex, and the Channel Islands

The initial meeting gave an opportunity for people in a similar situation to share experiences, which was highly valued and will provide the basis for our next meeting.

The group will continue to be facilitated by two experienced nurses and we will explore which topics, e.g. diet & nutrition, treatment & side effects, the group would like to have speakers invited to talk about for subsequent meetings.
