We are seeking to recruit a Campaigns and Policy Officer to our growing team. Their job will be to support the implementation of  key influencing activities to deliver the goals of Pancreatic Cancer UK’s flagship Campaign for Hope: a doubling of five-year pancreatic cancer survival rates; and changing the NHS experience of pancreatic cancer patients from one of the worst to one of the best.

The Campaigns and Policy Officer will be responsible for supporting the development and communication of Pancreatic Cancer UK policy positions and the delivery of campaign activities to bring about the needed policy changes. The post holder will help enhance the charity’s engagement within Westminster and across the devolved administrations, within the NHS and with other external stakeholders, as well as with patients, carers and supporters across the UK.

The role requires someone with an understanding of policy development and the creation and delivery of campaigns, probably with experience of working in a policy, public affairs, or political environment. The applicant will need to demonstrate strong organisational, analytical and communication skills and experience of successfully engaging political and/or health sector stakeholders. Team work is essential, as is the ability to network and build relationships with people, be they patients, clinicians or policy makers.
