Our Aims

Pancreatic Cancer UK is the only national charity fighting pancreatic cancer on all fronts: support, information, campaigning, research.

We are striving for a long and good life for everyone diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Through our dedicated pancreatic cancer support and information service we:

  • provide easy access to the best and most up-to-date information on pancreatic cancer
  • run discussion forums for pancreatic cancer patients, their carers and families to enable them to share experiences, advice and inspiration
  • provide individual support via email and telephone

 In addition we:

  • fund research and other projects of benefit to patients and their families
  • raise awareness of pancreatic cancer, particularly amongst GPs, policy makers and politicians and the general public, providing a powerful campaigning voice for all people living with pancreatic cancer, and their families

The aim of Study for Survival

In late 2010 the charity launched Pancreatic Cancer UK's Study for Survival, the first ever comprehensive mapping of pancreatic cancer across the UK.  The Study's aim is to identify what needs to happen to improve survival rates and quality of life of everyone affected by pancreatic cancer.  Working in partnership with both Dr Foster Intelligence and the National Cancer Intelligence Network, the Study has involved the views and experiences of almost 1,000 people living and working with pancreatic cancer across the UK.
