Campaign For Hope

Campaign For HopeSince the exciting launch of Study for Survival last November, Pancreatic Cancer UK has talked to over 1,000 people, including patients, carers and families, GPs, nurses, clinicians and researchers, to find out how to improve survival rates and quality of life for all pancreatic cancer patients.

As a result we have identified a number of ways to make a real impact on the fight against this disease. Leading on from the Study for Survival we are especially excited to be launching a bold new campaign, The Pancreatic Cancer UK Campaign for Hope.

The Campaign has an ambitious goal to double pancreatic cancer survival rates within the next five years. It is a real chance to make a difference to the lives of everyone affected by pancreatic cancer, both today and in the future.

Chris Steele _thumb'Few advances have been made in diagnosing and treating pancreatic cancer over the past 40 years. Consequently, survival rates remain extremely low with just 3% of people surviving five years beyond diagnosis.

'Pancreatic Cancer UK's Study for Survival provides the necessary focus for healthcare professionals, researchers and patients to identify why the disease is so challenging with the aim of improving survival and quality of life for patients. It offers hope.'
