Contact your local MP
Contact your local MP and ask them to support the Campaign for
Hope.
We have developed a guide for MPs, setting out the six easy
steps they can take to support our Campaign for Hope. You can help
by emailing your MP directly and asking them to pledge their
support. Simply copy and paste the sentence below and email it to
your MP:
Show your support for Pancreatic Cancer UK's Campaign
For Hope that sets an ambitious goal to double survival rates for
pancreatic cancer patients within the next five years. Please read
the MP's guide, sign our EDM and email campaignforhope@pancreaticcancer.org.uk to
pledge your support.
Currently one of our main priorities in the Campaign For Hope is
getting MPs to sign our Early Day Motion. If we gain enough signatures,
we will hopefully achieve an important debate in the House of
Commons about the issues surrounding pancreatic cancer. Please ask
your MP to add his or her signature.
Don't forget you can also speak to your MP face to face to ask
for their support at their local constituency surgeries. To find
out your local MPs surgery times, call their constituency office or
check their website.
To check your local region's pancreatic cancer survival rates
before meeting your MP, have a look at our interactive
map. Click on your region to find the survival statistics for
the cancer network in your area. Please do point your MP to the map
- it may be a useful source of information.
