Why is this trial being carried out?
Several tests and scans are used to diagnose cancer of the
pancreas. The tests and the results need to be as accurate as
possible as they affect treatment decisions.
In this study doctors are using PET-CT scans as well as the
usual tests for pancreatic cancer. The aim is to see how accurate
and useful this type of scan is in reaching a diagnosis.
Who is the trial suitable for?
The trial is suitable for patients who are suspected of having
pancreatic cancer and can go to hospital for a PET-CT scan.
Trial centres
Blackpool, Dundee, Glasgow, Liverpool, London,
Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Portsmouth, Southampton and Sutton.
