Support Line Privacy Policy
At Pancreatic Cancer UK we take your right to privacy very
seriously. We have set out our privacy policy for users of the
Support Line Service below so you can make sure you understand how
and why we use the information you give us.When you use the Support
Line Service you will be asked to provide us with contact
information so that a member of the Support and Information Team
can contact you (e.g. name, email and /or telephone number). When
you speak to a member of the Support and Information Team you may
be asked for information about you that the Data Protection Act
1998 defines as sensitive, such as your state of health. Members of
the Support and Information Team store brief information about the
content of calls and emails received to the Support Line Service to
enable the team to provide subsequent support. As with all the
personal information you provide to us, you can be assured that any
sensitive information you choose to supply will be kept in
accordance with the terms of the Act and only used in accordance
with this privacy policy.
Pancreatic Cancer UK is the sole owner of the information
submitted by you to the Support Line Service. We may use
information gathered in compiling anonymous statistics and research
in the course of the Support and Information Team's stated role.
However, we will not ever sell, share, or rent personally
identifiable information that you have submitted to this site to
third parties. The information you provide will only be used by the
Support and Information Team and will not be passed to other teams
within Pancreatic Cancer UK without your express permission.
