Location London SE1
This is a new role, created to take responsibility for the transactional aspects of HR and support the delivery of our People Strategy and reporting to the Head of HR, joining the busy Corporate Services Team delivering Finance, Database (CRM), Office management, IT and HR. We are developing and strengthening our infrastructure following a period of rapid growth in staff numbers at the charity as well as our external activities and impact.
The aim of our People Strategy is to ensure that the best people are recruited, retained and developed in line with our values to achieve our objectives as an organisation through optimum performance, whilst enjoying high levels of job satisfaction, teamwork and personal wellbeing.
The successful candidate will already have experience and expertise in day to day generalist HR which can be transferred to an ambitious charity, with a good grasp of the legislative frameworks and how to apply them in practice. Numerate, with excellent written skills and experience of producing HR documentation to a high standard, you will have good attention to detail.
You will take responsibility for day to day enquiries, recruitment and selection, onboarding and induction, administration and support throughout the employee lifecycle and enable maximum value to be gained through the collection, recording and analysis of data on our HR database CascadeGo, which we introduced this year. Training specific to CascadeGo will be provided.
There will be the opportunity to share your knowledge and equip others so an interest in and aptitude to train staff is key in helping us to drive forward our learning and development agenda this coming year. The Head of HR will involve you in operational & project work so that you can build your confidence and competence in specialist areas of activity, whilst making a contribution to our team objectives in your own area.
You will have CIPD membership and hold, or be working towards, a CIPD qualification and be keen to develop with us.
We are an inclusive employer committed to developing a diverse workforce and are looking for people who can demonstrate dedication to our cause and values. We offer a supportive place to work with helpful and friendly staff who report a high level of job satisfaction. Our main office is based in London close to Westminster.
