Great North Run
Join Pancreatic Cancer UK at the world's largest half marathon, the Great North Run!
What: Running 13.1 miles through the city of Newcastle, over the iconic Tyne Bridge and onto the finish in the coastal town of South Shields.
When: 10th September 2017
Participants: You must be 17 on race day to take part in the Great North Run.
Training & Preparation: To complete a half marathon is an amazing achievement which takes time and effort. Pancreatic Cancer UK will provide you with a training guide and fundraiser support when you register to get you started.
Sponsorship: We ask that charity place runners pay a £35 registration fee and commit to raising a minimum of £350 in sponsorship. Runners who have secured their own ballot place in the race have no sponsorship target or registration fee, we simply ask you raise as much as you can.
Apply for a charity place: Applications for Pancreatic Cancer UK charity places are closed until further notice. If you are successful then we ask for a registration fee of £35 and that you pledge to raise a minimum of £350. We only have a limited number of charity places and these are allocated on the strength of your application.
Join our team with your own place: If you are successful in getting your own place then we'd love to have you on the team. To join please complete our Own Place Form. There is no set sponsorship target and we simply ask you to raise as much sponsorship as you can. Every penny you raise will help people affected by pancreatic cancer.
