Edinburgh Half Marathon

27 May 2018 - 27 May 2018 Start time: 8:00 AM Registration fee: £20 with a minimum fundraising pledge of £300

Info:  Join us at this beautiful and flat half marathon, and accomplish the challenge of a lifetime.

What: The Edinburgh Marathon Festival, now in its 16th year takes place in Scotland’s capital city with the Edinburgh castle as its stunning backdrop. The Edinburgh Half Marathon has sold out every year since 2012 and is one of the largest half marathons in the UK – so get in there quick!

When: Sunday 27 May 2018. Start time: 08:00.

Participation: The Edinburgh Marathon Festival is a tough challenge but with training it can be completed by those who really wish to succeed. Most half marathon runners tend to run solo but others choose to run with others or even in fancy dress, to make the day that little bit more memorable.

Training & Preparation: Pancreatic Cancer UK believes it is important to keep in contact with runners before race day to ensure they are ready. We will provide you with an introduction & welcome pack as well as a Fundraiser Support Pack to help you raise your sponsorship target. Running a half marathon is not something you can do easily and it takes effort to train to be able to complete the exhausting distance to reach the finish line.

Apply for a Edinburgh Half Marathon charity place: Applications for Pancreatic Cancer UK charity places are now open. Please apply using our application form. If you are successful then we ask for a registration fee of £20 and that you pledge to raise a minimum of £300. We only have a limited number of charity places and these are allocated on strength of application.

Join our team with your own place: If you have your own place then we'd love to have you on the team. To join please complete our Own Place form. There is no set sponsorship target and we simply ask you to raise as much sponsorship as you can. Every penny you raise will help people affected by pancreatic cancer.

Edinburgh Half Marathon Fundraising target: We ask that Charity Place runners commit to raising £300 as well as paying a £20 registration fee. For own place runners there is no minimum target, we just ask you to raise as much as you can.

The support you will receive:

  • A Pancreatic Cancer UK running vest
  • Access to our dedicated Pancreatic Cancer UK training zone
  • Fundraising pack full of tips and ideas
  • Support and advice from a dedicated member of the Fundraising Team
  • Regular newsletters and email communication
