Edinburgh Marathon Festival
Info: Join us at this beautiful and flat marathon, and accomplish the challenge of a lifetime.
What: The Edinburgh Marathon, now in its 16th year takes place in Scotland’s capital city with the Edinburgh castle as its stunning backdrop continuing on through East Lothian. It is officially the fastest top 10 marathon in the UK with an elevation drop of almost 40 metres - perfect for first timers or for those after a PB!
When: Sunday 27 May 2018 .Start times - Edinburgh marathon: 9:50am.
Participation: The Edinburgh Marathon is a tough challenge but with training it can be completed by those who really wish to succeed. Most marathon runners tend to run solo but others choose to run with others or even in fancy dress, to make the day that little bit more memorable.
Training & Preparation: Pancreatic Cancer UK believes it is important to keep in contact with runners before race day to ensure they are ready. We will provide you with an introduction & welcome pack as well as a Fundraiser Support Pack to help you raise your sponsorship target. Running a marathon is not something you can do easily and it takes effort to train to be able to complete the exhausting distance to reach the finish line.
Apply for a Edinburgh Marathon charity place: Applications for Pancreatic Cancer UK charity places are now open. Please apply using our application form. If you are successful then we ask for a registration fee of £30 and that you pledge to raise a minimum of £500. We only have a limited number of charity places and these are allocated on strength of application.
Join our team with your own place: If you have your own place then we'd love to have you on the team. To join please complete our Own Place form. There is no set sponsorship target and we simply ask you to raise as much sponsorship as you can. Every penny you raise will help people affected by pancreatic cancer.
Edinbugh Marathon Fundraising target: We ask that Charity Place runners commit to raising £500 as well as paying a £30 registration fee. For own place runners there is no minimum target, we just ask you raise as much as you can.
