Fundraise on the Fairway
Whether you are a pro golfer or new to the green, fundraising at your golf club is a great way to raise vital funds and awareness for pancreatic cancer.
From choosing us as your ladies or mens captain’s charity of the year to holding a charity day at your local golf club in support of Pancreatic Cancer UK, we are here to help.
How we can support you
We have materials to help make your fundraising a success including golf balls, golf tees, posters and presentations. Depending on where you are based in the UK, we could also arrange for a guest speaker to attend your golf event!
The Julian Williamson Memorial charity golf society are taking on pancreatic cancer
One of our amazing supporters, Michael Barratt, has organised the Julian Williamson Memorial charity golf society day in aid of Pancreatic Cancer UK for the last 6 years. In total £12,316 has been raised and the target now is to achieve £20,000 by 2020.
"I would urge anyone who is into golf and looking to make a real difference to seriously consider a charity event in aid of Pancreatic Cancer UK – they are a tremendous charity but research into pancreatic cancer is woefully underfunded in comparison to the shockingly low survival rates for the disease. This charity needs all the help it can get – both in terms of donations and simply exposure and awareness. Early diagnosis is so important, and people simply do not recognise the symptoms soon enough.
I have been stunned by the generosity of participants each year and proud of what a difference we have all made to the charity that supported Jools so well during his hardest moments." - Michael Barratt
At Pancreatic Cancer UK we fund ground breaking research and provide specialist support to those affected by the disease via our confidential Support Line. We couldn’t continue this vital work without our fantastic supporters.
