Anderson Strathern Solicitors
The staff of Scottish law firm Anderson Strathern voted for Pancreatic Cancer UK as the firm's 2015 Charity of the Year after a Director, Pamela Keys, lost her father to the disease.
Employees at the firm, which has offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and East Lothian, aim to raise £5,000 for the charity through the Great Anderson Strathern Bake Off, dress down days, runs and cycling events.
In choosing Pancreatic Cancer UK as their Charity of the Year 2015, Anderson Strathern’s staff aim to help promote awareness of pancreatic cancer and the work of the charity including marking Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month in November which will see their three offices lit up in purple for Purple Lights for Hope.
Robert Carr, Chair of Anderson Strathern, said: “Anderson Strathern has a very firm commitment to corporate social responsibility and I am delighted that we are supporting Pancreatic Cancer UK as the firm’s Charity of the Year for 2015. We are looking forward to working closely with Pancreatic Cancer UK and to taking part in fund-raising activities. It is a privilege to be able to work with our charity partners and to help raise awareness of the impact of this disease.”
We are delighted to annouce that this partnership in 2015 raised over £8,000 for Pancreatic Cancer UK with Anderson Stratern Solicitors also organising a Football Tournament, colleagues taking part in Total Warrior and Quiz Night.
