Holgates Caravan Parks
Holgates Caravan Parks have been supporting Pancreatic Cancer UK since 2015 and have raised over £12,000 in this short amount of time.
“My father was in his mid-seventies when he lost his battle with pancreatic cancer, but I have also known other and much younger people than my father who have been affected by this devastating disease. That's why, over the past few years, we have directed much of our business's fundraising efforts to helping this charity ensure that everyone diagnosed with the disease receives the very best treatment and care.
It is, of course, a very serious subject. However, that has not prevented us from enjoying plenty of light-hearted and sociable activities in support of Pancreatic Cancer UK. We are often joined in these by many of our 150-plus staff, some of whom have also taken it upon themselves to organise events which have helped swell our fundraising total.” Michael Holgate, Owner.
Over the past twelve months Holgates have organised a charity ceilidh which raised over £7,000 and bought together members of their local community and held various purple fundraising activities that staff and customers could get involved with including quizzes, cake sales and sponsored walks.
We can’t wait to see what the next 12 months brings…
