Our Involvement and Volunteering Community
We want as many people affected by pancreatic cancer to have their voices heard. That’s why we’ve created PCUK Together – our network of people with a personal experience of pancreatic cancer, who want to use their experience to inform our work and help others.
By joining this community, we will let you know about any involvement opportunities or ways that you can help, such as taking part in a focus group, filling in a survey, becoming a patient or carer representative, or feeding into the development of our charity’s plans and services.
We’ll also let you know about any volunteering opportunities we have open, in case this is something you or someone you know would like to get involved in as well.
What is Involvement?
Involvement refers to the different ways that people affected by pancreatic cancer can help to shape, support, and influence our work. You might also hear involvement referred to as user involvement, engagement or participation. Put simply, it’s our way of recognising that your experience matters.
What difference will my involvement make?
People who have been affected by pancreatic cancer are at the heart of everything we do. Every decision made by us is with the aim of improving the outcomes and experiences of people living with this disease.
With your help, we want to transform the future for people with pancreatic cancer. Your input won’t just help us to design and improve our own support services, but will help us to campaign for greater recognition, funding, research, and awareness of pancreatic cancer on a national level.
