Kiaragh's story
Kiaragh has been both an active fundraiser and volunteer for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
As part of Volunteers’ Week 2025, we are celebrating our fantastic volunteer community at Pancreatic Cancer UK. Check out this inspiring volunteer story, and more below:
This year has seen many walking and running events, where our amazing runners took to the streets to raise vital funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK. From the TCS London Marathon 2025 and the Brighton Marathon to the Edinburgh Marathon Festival and more!
At the heart of this is our fantastic Cheer Point volunteers, cheering on our runners and walkers, and giving them a boost to cross the finish line! This year so far, we’ve had over 900 volunteers supporting over 1000 runners across all events.
The feedback from both runners and volunteers, really highlights what a positive difference our cheer squads make on event day.
From heartwarming comments from runners about how they could not have got through the race without their support, to volunteers expressing how much it meant to them being part of a runner’s achievement, and more!
A big, heartfelt thank you to each and every one of our cheer point volunteers, whether it was your first time volunteering or you’re a regular – you’ve all played your part in contributing to the incredible atmosphere on event day.
