World Pancreatic Cancer Day 2014
13th November 2014 was the first ever World Pancreatic Cancer Day!
Last year we were very proud and excited to invite you to be a part of the first ever World Pancreatic Cancer Day in November.
We woked hard alongside pancreatic cancer organisations around the world to bring the day to life, with the project chaired by our very own Deputy Chief Executive, Clara Mackay. On Thursday 13th November, we joined together globally to raise awareness – and you helped us make it a success!
As you know all too well, pancreatic cancer has one of the lowest survival rates of any cancer – something that has barely changed in more than 40 years. The newly-instated annual World Pancreatic Cancer Day will help to bring about a much needed change in awareness levels about the disease.
On the day supporters visited the brand new World Pancreatic Cancer Day website to watch the brilliant video and share the stats across their social media channels.
We were also delighted that many of our supporters lit up yet more buildings across the UK purple after the success of our Purple Lights for Hope launch campaign. Find out which landmarks lit up purple over the course of Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month 2014 for #PurpleLights for Hope.
Building on from the success of last year, we are delighted to be involved in this year's World Pancreatic Cancer Day on the 13th November 2015!
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the following Global Sponsors for helping us raise awareness of pancreatic cancer on a global scale:
