Promoting Innovative Practice Education Fund
Purpose and scope of the fund
We want to support the development and implementation of positive practice to drive improvements in quality of life for pancreatic cancer patients. The Promoting Innovative Practice Education Fund is a grant scheme designed to expand our health professional training and networking programme by making funding available to support face to face education sessions, workshops, networking opportunities, training days and clinical updates which are UK based and health professional led.
Applicants must be employed as a health professional working in the NHS, registered charity (e.g. a hospice), professional association or body and be members of the Pancreatic Cancer UK Health Professional Network. The network is free to join.
Before requesting an application form, please read our Guidance Notes and Terms and Conditions. Application forms can be requested by email. Once completed, they can be returned as a scanned attachment to the same address.
Applications will be considered by the Pancreatic Cancer UK education team taking into account:
- The potential to improve diagnosis, treatment, care and quality of life for people affected by pancreatic cancer
- The feasibility of the event and its value for money
- The potential to develop and / or share good practice, initiate future work or collaboration.
As funding is limited the charity will also try to ensure that a range of topic areas and geographical locations are covered over the course of the year.
The fund is now open for applications and decisions will be made within 8 weeks from receipt of the signed form.
