Where is pancreatic cancer treated?
Anyone diagnosed with pancreatic cancer should have their case reviewed at a specialist cancer centre where there is a specialist pancreatic cancer team. This is called the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
You may have tests and some treatments – such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy – at your local hospital. If you are having surgery to remove the cancer (such as the Whipple’s operation), this should be done at a specialist centre.
