Steve Jobs dies aged 56 from pancreatic cancer

Posted by: Comms 6 October 2011

"Pancreatic Cancer UK is deeply saddened by Steve Jobs' death after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Our Campaign for Hope is calling for increased focus on pancreatic cancer with a long term goal of doubling the survival rates for patients within five years. It is unacceptable that only 3% of people with pancreatic cancer will survive five years beyond diagnosis - a statistic that has hardly improved in over 40 years."

Alex Ford, CEO of Pancreatic Cancer UK
