" Another new treatment which can help to shrink the tumour is a new form of technology called the NanoKnife, or irreversible electroporation (IRE). IRE is a treatment that involves inserting needles around the cancer.

"Thanks to enhanced surgical techniques, mortality rates after surgery have dropped markedly in patients able to undergo a resection, from around 15 per cent of patients to just over one per cent of patients."
