Jim Scott, a dear friend died of pancreatic cancer. He was someone who was a great joker, he didn't want any of his friends to know how old he was even. He was a great hit with the ladies. Whilst he was in hospital he still appreciated an attractive nurse or doctor. He is particularly remembered for taking the place of my father at my wedding, who also died of a rare cancer - cancer of the spleen. I am proud to have made him laugh in his final days in hospital ....can't remember how I did it, because it was so sad to know he would go, but he loved a good laugh being a Newcastle lad.
