Director of Finance, Planning and Resources

About us:

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months. Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers, yet for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case. And, with treatment and care affected by the pandemic, the situation has only got worse.

Pancreatic Cancer UK is a national charity dedicated to taking on this injustice using every possible means. We’re supporting people with pancreatic cancer now, campaigning, and funding vital research to transform the future.

About the role:

As our Director of Finance, Planning and Resources, you will bring the strategic financial leadership and operational expertise needed to underpin our values-driven, courageous organisational decision-making. You will ensure our governance, systems, and infrastructure are fit for purpose and will play an essential role in ensuring we have sustainable and firm organisational infrastructure to support our growing reach.

We are looking for someone skilled at using finance and data to underpin organisational planning, credible operating at Board level, and overseeing a portfolio spanning finance, operational infrastructure, and governance. You will be a resilient and inclusive collaborator, enthusiastic about working with our team and supporters to meet our transformative goals.

At Pancreatic Cancer UK, we believe the more diverse our organisation, the bigger the impact we can have on our society – and the greater difference we can make for people affected by pancreatic cancer. We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds and are particularly interested in hearing from people of colour and men, who are currently underrepresented on our team.
