We’re going to be on the BBC Radio 4 Appeal
Listen on 15 November at 7.56am to hear Olivia William’s making an appeal for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
It’s Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month (PCAM), and we are delighted to announce that we are going to feature on the BBC Radio 4 Appeal on Sunday 15th November.
The BBC Radio 4 Appeal is a weekly programme highlighting the work of UK-based charities. We have an amazing opportunity for millions of people across the UK to learn how they can help us stop the deadliest cancer.
Mark in your diaries to listen on:
- Sunday 15th November at 7.56am or 22.56pm
- Thursday 19th November at 12.30pm
Olivia Williams will be reading our appeal. Olivia has been a Pancreatic Cancer UK ambassador since 2019 because she lost a dear friend to pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) and is a survivor of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumour (PancNET).
On the BBC Radio 4 appeal Olivia will be sharing more about her experience and telling everyone about the breath test. She’ll explain how this early detection test could save thousands of lives every year, how initial results show it is highly accurate, and how it is now in a national clinical trial.
Thank you so much for everything you do to support Pancreatic Cancer UK. It’s supporters like you that helped fund the breath test. Now this is our chance to get millions of people across the UK to join us in stopping the deadliest cancer.
We will remind you to listen to the appeal nearer the time – keep an eye on your emails!
