Demand Faster Treatment goes to the National Assembly for Wales

Following successful petition hand-ins at Westminster and Holyrood earlier in the week, we next headed to the National Assembly for Wales in Cardiff to bring the demand for faster pancreatic cancer treatment to Wales.

Following successful petition hand-ins at Westminster and Holyrood earlier in the week, we next headed to the National Assembly for Wales in Cardiff to bring the demand for faster pancreatic cancer treatment to Wales.

We were joined by a group of dedicated supporters and Lynne Neagle AM, braving the strong and rather chilly winds to demonstrate the strength of feeling on the need for faster treatment for pancreatic cancer patients. An incredible 9,012 people signed the petition in Wales, making it the UK nation with the most signatures per head of population.

After posing for pictures on the steps of the Senedd building, Pancreatic Cancer UK supporter Linda Reardon handed the petition over to senior civil servant Peter Greening, Head of the Cabinet Division, who officially received it on behalf of the Welsh Government.

Following the hand-in, we will be following up with the Welsh Government to ensure the amazing support for faster treatment leads to real policy change in Wales.

Thank you to everyone in Wales who demanded faster treatment.
