Pancreatic cancer, diet and you

Tuesday 20th May 2025, 6-7pm via Zoom

About this webinar:

Your diet and the food you eat play an important part in your life. But what do you do when you have pancreatic cancer? Whether you’ve been diagnosed yourself, or are supporting a loved one, we’re here to offer information and support.

In this session you’ll hear from a dietitian and two of our specialist nurses. They talk about common symptoms you may experience linked to your diet and digestion. You’ll learn why these symptoms happen and tips to help you manage them, including foods to eat or avoid.

You may also have heard of pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy (PERT), or Creon. During this session you’ll find out what this is, who needs it and how to take it.

The session was followed by a question and answer session and information on where you can find more support.

What we covered:

  • What does the pancreas do?
  • What diet and digestive symptoms do people with pancreatic cancer experience?
  • How can I manage these symptoms?
  • What is pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy (PERT) and who needs to take it?
