Help shape our services

If you’ve been affected by pancreatic cancer – either as someone with a diagnosis, or a family member/friend – we’re really keen to hear from you.

Can you spare a few hours to join a discussion group, share your experiences, and help us provide the best support we can for people affected by pancreatic cancer?

Read on to find out how to get involved.

Responding to challenging times

The last year and a half has seen many changes to the way we work at Pancreatic Cancer UK. In the face of a global pandemic, we adapted our services to make sure we could still be there for people affected by pancreatic cancer.

Our Support Line has continued to be a lifeline throughout, but we’ve also been able to support hundreds of people at our online support sessions and webinar, as well as ensure that people affected by pancreatic cancer have access to trusted and up-to-date information about what the situation means for them.

Looking towards the future

The pandemic has changed the way people access support and information. Some people have been able to get online for the first time, and many others have become more confident using the internet and digital technology.

Like many charities, we are using this opportunity to consider how online services might help us make a bigger difference to more people. We also know that not everyone will want to use online services, and are committed to continuing to offer support and information in a variety of ways to ensure nobody is left behind.

Guided by you

If you have been affected by pancreatic cancer – either as someone with a diagnosis, or a family member/friend – we’re really keen to hear from you. You are the expert in your experiences, feelings and needs, and we want to make sure we are informed by these as we plan for the future.

We are running group discussions in August and September over Zoom.

Discussion group dates:
Wednesday 1st September, 10.30am to 12pm – people living with pancreatic cancer
Wednesday 1st September, 5.30pm to 7pm – people who have lost a loved one to pancreatic cancer
Tuesday 7th September, 2.30pm to 4pm – people currently caring for someone with pancreatic cancer
