    Tom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer when he was 61. He shares his experience of diagnosis, surgery, and recovery. 

    Before I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, I enjoyed reasonably good health. I did have diabetes and the doctor said I should try and lose some weight, so I started doing park runs and took up cycling.

    I was doing pretty well at both and was losing some weight, but then I realised that I was losing it a lot quicker than I had expected.

    Tom shares his experience of being diagnosed with operable pancreatic cancer when he was 42. 

    On the 24th January 2018, out of the blue, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Up until the New Year I had been feeling fine. I had just enjoyed a lovely festive season with friends and family and everything seemed normal.

    Zoe, diagnosed with operable cystic carcinoma of the pancreas in 2017.

    October 2017, I’m 42, look well, feel well, fit, leading a healthy lifestyle and looking forward to what life has in store for me. Then the bombshell drops. Diagnosis – Cystic carcinoma of the Pancreas. Cystic what!? Panic sets in. I’m 42, this can’t be happening.
