Our app

Our pilot of the Medli app is coming to an end.

Over the last year we have been piloting the use of the Medli app in the pancreatic cancer community. After reviewing the learnings from this project we have decided to end our pilot project and our partnership with Medli on the 28th of May 2024. As of the 29th of May 2024, it will no longer be possible to affiliate with Pancreatic Cancer UK in the app.

Building on what we have learnt through the pilot.

Through the pilot of Medli, we were able to learn a lot about the value of digital tools to the pancreatic cancer community. We learned how people affected by pancreatic cancer might use a digital tool to help manage their condition, and how we can use a digital tool to capture crucial data on the day-to-day realities of living with a pancreatic cancer diagnosis.

Alongside this pilot we have also been carrying out other programmes of work to look at how digital tools can enable us to meet our aims of reaching more people affected by pancreatic cancer and providing them with information and support to help them manage their condition. Looking at insights and learnings from both the Medli pilot and these other activities, we decided that we should end the app pilot and build the learnings into our other programmes of work.

We know that we can’t truly understand pancreatic cancer without understanding your experience. In terms of capturing data on the realities of living with a pancreatic cancer diagnosis we are looking at new ways to continue to gather this information.

You can still get the support you need.

If you, or someone you care about, has pancreatic cancer, we’re here to help. You can find out more about how we can help and guide you through things here.

Thank you.

We would like to thank everyone that downloaded and used Medli – your use of the app has enabled us to better understand the realities of living with pancreatic cancer and will inform the next steps in our journey towards a more complete and reliable picture of pancreatic cancer in the UK.

Will I be able to continue using the app?

No, the Medli app will no longer be available for download from the 8th of May, and will no longer function after the 28th of May.

What will happen to my personal data?

All personal data held by Medli Health Limited will be permanently and securely erased. PCUK will retain anonymised user data relating to pancreatic cancer for use in our work.

How will you use the information collected from people with pancreatic cancer during the pilot?

We will use the data we have gathered over the duration of the pilot to develop our understanding of pancreatic cancer in the UK, support our campaigns and calls to action, and inform our development of new services to support the pancreatic cancer community.

Where can I find support relating to my condition?

Our specialist nurses,  expert information and services to connect you to people with similar experiences are all available to provide you with ongoing support. You can find our more here.
