“The QR code is a game changer, it goes directly to your fundraising page and saves people trying to search for you.”
“The QR code is a game changer, it goes directly to your fundraising page and saves people trying to search for you.”
Visit a free QR code creator website like Bitly.
Open your fundraising page in another tab and copy the fundraising URL link.
Go back to Bitly and scroll down to “Create a QR code” and enter your fundraising page link into the “Enter your QR code destination” box. Click “Sign up” to get your QR code.
If you already have an account, sign in. If not, create a free account using your email or Google account. This is a free account so you shouldn’t be asked for any card details.
Once signed in, your QR code will be created for you. You can download your QR code to your device by clicking download.
You can even change the look of it by clicking “Design”. You can change the colour and shape of your QR code.
Your QR code will be saved onto your Bitly account if you ever lose the downloaded version.
SAVE AND SHARE! Save your QR code onto your phone so you can easily access it for people to scan to go quickly to your fundraising page. Matt used his QR code on posters at work!
If you are using a justgiving page you can add “/qrcode” to the end of your justgiving page url and justgiving will generate a qr code automatically for you!
