What activities count towards the mileage?

Anything you like! There are many ways you can take on this challenge, both indoors and outdoors. Whether you run, swim, cycle, walk or hop – all the miles you walk over the month count towards your total.

The challenge is simple – take on 100 miles in any way you want between 1 and 30 November.

Is there a fundraising target?

There’s no minimum fundraising target for this challenge, as every penny you raise will help to support people now and transform the future for pancreatic cancer. Everyone who takes part will receive a certificate and a medal will be sent to all those who raise £212 or more.

How will Pancreatic Cancer UK use the funds I raise?

Research will transform survival for pancreatic cancer and by getting involved this November you’ll help accelerate progressWe are moving closer to the point where we can put a test in the hands of every GP. This will help them quickly and easily detect pancreatic cancer at an early stage, giving more people the chance to have life-saving treatment. Your fundraising will make this possible – driving forward much needed progress for pancreatic cancer.

You will also be enabling us to be there for people now by supporting our services. Our friendly specialist nurses are only a call or email away. They are specialists in pancreatic cancer and can talk for as long as is needed.

What is the Strava group link?

What if I become ill and can no longer take part in this challenge?

If you feel unwell or become ill at any point during the challenge, we would urge you to take time to rest and look after yourself, and seek advice from a medical professional.

You can either take a break from your challenge, and reduce the number of miles you’re aiming to complete, or continue your challenge at a later date so that you have enough time to rest and fully recover.

How do I get a medal?

Medals will be sent at the end of the challenge to everyone who has raised £212 or more. £212 could allow researchers to study 13 patient samples to learn more about the genetic changes that make people more likely to develop pancreatic cancer.
