This year, World Pancreatic Cancer Day will take place on:
Thursday 20th November 2025
World Pancreatic Cancer Day (WPCD) typically takes place on the third Thursday of November worldwide. It is an opportunity for charities and not-for-profit organisations across the globe to come together on one day to raise the profile of pancreatic cancer and raise awareness of the risks and symptoms of the disease.
As a proud member of the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition – which has over 100 member organisations across 39 countries on 6 continents – we join in the global conversation each year and support the coalition’s WPCD campaign. We also sit on the steering committee of the coalition and WPCD.
After over 10 years of WPCD, the global campaign is still growing. Find out more about how you can get involved.
Every November we come together with other pancreatic cancer charities across the UK and the globe, to put a spotlight on a disease that needs more attention.
You can get involved by lighting up your home or contacting a prominent landmark in your local area to light up purple.
It doesn’t just have to be on WPCD. You can organise your light up on any day in November.

Since 2017 on World Pancreatic Cancer Day we’ve taken over St Pancras International station, by putting the ‘e’ in PancrEas, all in the name of raising vital awareness and funds.
This event wouldn’t be complete without the wonderful Popchoir who have joined us at the station and performed their crowd-pleasing tunes to commuters and visitors.
This has all been made possible thanks to the wonderful support of London St Pancras Highspeed and we can’t thank them enough.
With all eyes on pancreatic cancer across the globe on WPCD, it is a great opportunity to raise awareness of the disease, the function of the pancreas and the symptoms to look out for. We have lots of resources for you to download and share.
You can also join others affected by pancreatic cancer across the globe by wearing purple and sharing your reasons for getting involved on social media. Don’t forget to use these hashtags!
