Pancreatic cancer is tough. Tough to diagnose, tough to treat, and tough to research. With a survival rate of less than 7%, pancreatic cancer is set to become the biggest cancer killer in Northern Ireland by 2026. Yet research funding and public awareness of the disease and its symptoms is worryingly low - we know this needs to change, and with the help of others we are determined to make a difference and change the future for pancreatic cancer patients and their loved ones.
How many people in your workplace or community group do you think know all of the signs and symptoms of pancreatic cancer? We know how important it is that people know about the signs and symptoms of pancreatic cancer, so that they can get support as quickly as possible. An early diagnosis means there are more treatment options available, and a greater chance of survival.
That’s why we offer free “Lunch and Learn” sessions, to empower people to listen to their bodies and raise awareness of pancreatic cancer in their communities. Our sessions cover not only awareness of the signs, symptoms, and challenges of pancreatic cancer, but also ways that you can get involved and help others when they need it the most. Together we are taking on pancreatic cancer – will you join us?
Book a talk today, and help us make Northern Ireland more aware of pancreatic cancer! We can tailor the content to different times and different groups, and the sessions are completely free of charge.
