Meet our specialist nurses
Dianne Dobson, Pancreatic Cancer Specialist Nurse
Dianne has been nursing for 30 years having completed her general nursing training in Australia. She worked in Intensive Care for 14 years both in Australia and London and then spent 6 years working in Liver Transplantation in London. Her most recent experience was with the HPB (hepato-pancreatobiliary) surgery team at a specialist centre in London, where her work involved supporting patients having surgery for pancreatic cancer.
Jeni Jones, Pancreatic Cancer Specialist Nurse
Jeni has been nursing for 26 years and has spent the past seventeen years working in cancer care, including the care of people with pancreatic cancer. She has worked in the areas of chemotherapy, palliative care and clinical trials and is experienced in providing support to patients, families and friends.
Rachel Richardson, Pancreatic Cancer Specialist Nurse
Rachel has been nursing for over 20 years and has varied experiences of working in the NHS. A big part of her previous roles has been particularly focused on supporting and caring for palliative and end of life patients, enabling them to have end of life care in their preferred place. Rachel’s most recent post before joining the charity has been looking after patients diagnosed with upper gastrointestinal cancers, including pancreatic cancers, ensuring that they receive the most appropriate treatment and are fully supported throughout their cancer journey.
Nicci Murphy, Pancreatic Cancer Specialist Nurse
Nicci has been nursing for 12 years and started her career as a district nurse, going on to specialise in palliative care, both in the community and in a hospice setting. For the last 8 years, Nicci has worked in oncology in a city hospital providing information, support and practical advice to individuals and their families’ affected by a cancer diagnosis, including pancreatic cancer.
