A pancreatic cancer podcast discussion

On the Planet Beyond podcast, Charles Czajkowski shares his personal experience of pancreatic cancer. Our Head of Research, Dr. Chris Macdonald, also joins as a guest to discuss the importance of early diagnosis and the issues that our healthcare system faces.

At Pancreatic Cancer UK, we are lucky to be supported by a wide variety of supporters from across the UK, and sometimes even further afield, including individuals, families, communities and workplaces.

In 2022 we are delighted to be supported by world leading Geo-data company, Fugro, who have chosen us as their charity of the year in support of their friend and colleague Charles Czajkowski.

Together, colleagues from across the business are taking on challenges and raising vital awareness of pancreatic cancer in the hope of saving more lives.

Last month Charles Czajkowski sat down with Pancreatic Cancer UK’s Head of Research, Dr Chris Macdonald, to record a special episode of Fugro’s Planet Beyond podcast.

On the episode called Beating Pancreatic Cancer, we hear from Charles about his experience of pancreatic cancer over the last six years, how he was diagnosed and the different treatment options he has had and will face. Our very own Dr Chris Macdonald then highlights the issues that our healthcare system faces in diagnosing and treating the disease.

Finally, we learn what more can be done to increase survivability and the quality of life of people affected, and what we can all be doing to raise awareness of pancreatic cancer.

Thank you to Charles and everyone at Fugro for raising vital awareness of the disease and creating such an engaging and informative podcast.

Please listen to the podcast episode and share. Together we can take on pancreatic cancer.
