Here’s our top tips on how to share your story on your page: 

Be true to you. Write in your own voice and tell your story in a way that you feel comfortable sharing.  

Don’t forget to make your page easy to read! Think about the layout: add paragraphs and sections to highlight your story and efforts.  

Why have you decided to take on the TCS London Marathon?

Talk about the cause! 

As you may know Pancreatic Cancer UK is TCS London Marathon’s Charity of the Year.  

Pancreatic cancer is the deadliest common cancer. More than half of people with pancreatic cancer don’t survive beyond three months from diagnosis. Yet decades of underfunding mean that we still lack the tests and treatments to tackle this brutal disease. Hope alone can’t fix this. People with pancreatic cancer need action now.  By running for Pancreatic Cancer UK, you are helping our amazing researchers work on a simple test to detect the cancer earlier.

Let everyone know you are taking on the ultimate test! Running the TCS London Marathon is a huge accomplishment and not an easy feat and your supporters should know how much hard work you’re putting in. 

Share the impact of the fundraising!

Let them know their donation will make a difference and how they are helping: 

£26.20 could help researchers grow pancreatic cancer cells in the lab, to be used to identify new biological markers of cancer. 

£50 could help spark the breakthroughs in the early detection of pancreatic cancer that we so desperately need. 

£100 could allow researchers to study the genetic changes which could make people more likely to develop pancreatic cancer in 6 patient samples. 

£2,500 could fund two weeks of ground-breaking research developing new treatments for pancreatic cancer.
