This is our first ever event designed specifically for health professionals working in the community. 

We’ll be exploring all the key things you need to know in order to better understand and support people with pancreatic cancer and their loved ones 

We’ll be discussing: 

  • The different journeys and touchpoints your patients may experience 
  • Symptom management support including key tips on managing pain, nausea, diarrhoea, constipation and other common symptoms, and when and where to refer to for extra support, and recognising the signs of end of life 
  • Important information to help with managing diet, PERT and diabetes 
  • Support available to you, your patients and their loved ones

This session is suitable for all health professionals working with people affected by pancreatic cancer in the community. This includes: 

  • Community and district nurses 
  • Palliative care teams 
  • GPs and primary care health professionals 
  • Community dietitians 
  • Support staff such as support workers, patient navigators

What platform will the sessions be hosted on? 

This event will be held on Zoom Webinar. After you book, you will receive an email via Zoom with the joining details. You can join on a computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone – any device with an internet connection. 

If you don’t have access to the internet, you can also dial in from a standard telephone. 

Will I receive a certificate of attendance? 

Everyone who joins the sessions live on the day will get access to their certificate of attendance upon filling in the feedback form. Certificates are only available to live attendees. 

Will the session be recorded? 

Yes – where the speakers are happy to be recorded. After the event, we will email all registrants with a link to the recording and presentation slides. So if you’re unable to join the live session, you will be able to catch up at a later date. For the best experience, we recommend joining live.
