Exploring Healthcare Workers’ Daily Lives and Wellbeing

Lead researcher and institution:

  • Olga Lainidi, PhD Researcher – University of Leeds, School of Psychology

Overview of the project:

  • This PhD study explores how healthcare workers experience daily communication in their work, including moments where they speak up, hold back, or weigh the effort of saying something. The project aims to understand how these day-to-day moments feel. We’re inviting healthcare professionals from across the system to take part, including those working in cancer and palliative care, as your insights into day-to-day communication and emotional demands are crucial to our study.

What is needed from you?

  • We are inviting healthcare workers to complete a one-time online questionnaire (approximately 15 mins) and a short online daily diary (5–10 mins per day) for 7 consecutive days. The study is open to both clinical and non-clinical staff working in any healthcare or community care setting.

When and where?

  • To be completed online before 20th December 2025.
