The Post-Operative Experience of Pancreatic Surgery Patients


Lead researcher and institution:

Overview of the project:

  • To improve understanding of user experiences with regard to a design problem as part of a Final Year Design Major Project. This project aims to understand the experiences, challenges, and emotional needs of patients recovering at home after pancreatic surgery. By exploring how patients manage daily routines, handle uncertainty, and use information or support during recovery, the study seeks to identify gaps in current post-operative care. This will help guide the development of a practical, reassuring product or tool that supports recovery, increases confidence, and improves overall quality of life following surgery.

  • To participate in a survey, or interview.
