You're not alone. “It helped so much to liaise with others and gain their help and advice."

Peer support at Pancreatic Cancer UK is evolving

What’s happening?

From 5th January next year, we’ll be making some changes to the forum. You’ll still be able to read all of the posts but there won’t be the option to sign up, post or reply to threads. All of the support, advice and help that the community has given each other over the years will still be there for you to read.

Why is the forum changing?

Pancreatic cancer is tough to face and we know how important it is to have the right support around you. We spent some time listening to what people affected by pancreatic cancer say they need and one of the things that came through loud and clear is a need for community. We’ve also seen over the last few years that the number of people using our forum has decreased as people change how they seek support from others. So, we’ve developed Circles, a set of online community spaces – on Facebook and WhatsApp – where you can join a group of people currently affected by pancreatic cancer, people who just get it. We’ve already seen how much support people get from Circles with more than 1,000 people signing up, joining a Circle and getting invaluable help and guidance. Going forward, Circles will be the place to get – and give – peer support at Pancreatic Cancer UK.
