Rachel Richardson
Specialist Pancreatic Cancer Nurse, Pancreatic Cancer UK
Rachel has worked in many varied roles within the NHS for 20 years including cardiothoracic intensive care, acute stroke, clinical audit, cancer service improvement and hospital discharge liaison. Rachel’s most recent post in the NHS was as an Upper GI Nurse. Rachel then joined Pancreatic Cancer UK at the end of 2017 and her time in the nursing team has enabled her to develop her knowledge and expertise in pancreatic cancer. Rachel’s day to day role is working alongside our other specialist nurses on our support service, supporting patients and family members impacted by this devastating disease. Rachel has a keen interest in complex symptom management for this patient group with the aim of maximising day to day quality of life.
Sinead Benson
Palliative Care CNS, The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust
Sinead has worked in palliative care for over 16 years in the areas of hospice, community, acute care and latterly cancer care at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, Liverpool (CCC-L).
She is part of a team who delivers an Enhanced Supportive Care (ESC) service for patients with palliative diagnosis / needs within Cheshire & Merseyside Cancer Network. Sinead is particularly interested in managing symptoms relating to hepatopancreaticbillary (HPB) cancers and side effects secondary to anti-cancer treatment. Last year she published an article regarding her work in this area.
