Genomic medicine is transforming treatment and care for people affected by pancreatic cancer. Watch this session to find out everything you need to know about genomic medicine in pancreatic cancer and get guidance on how you can start to explore genomics in your own practice.
We were joined by specialist nurses and a genetic counsellor who explored what genomic medicine looks like in practice, with examples from someone with lived experience. They also shared practical tips and guidance on how to increase awareness and the accessibility of genomics in your local practice.

Lived experience - Emma's story
Emma, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2024, shares her experience of finding out her and many of her relatives carry the BRCA2 gene, her journey with breast and then pancreatic cancer and the influential impact her genetics and accessing genomic medicine has had on her treatment journey so far.
Emma talks openly about the challenges she has faced and shares a key message she’d like health professionals to take away from hearing her story.
