Chris was full of life kind and had a tremendous sense of humour. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in November 2021. His son, also Chris, shares their story.

20 October 2023

Anastasia and her family were forced to leave their home due to the war in Ukraine in 2022, while her husband Alex was still being monitored after surgery for pancreatic cancer. Sadly, the cancer came back and spread, and Alex is now having chemotherapy in the UK.

Mary, 67, was walking home from work in October 2020 when she was struck with extreme tiredness. Within two days, she was given a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and told she had been diagnosed early enough for surgery.

Lianne shares the story of her dad, Tony, to help raise awareness of pancreatic cancer. Tony was just 60 when he passed away from pancreatic cancer that had spread to the liver, just under 5 weeks after his diagnosis.

Judy’s husband, Pete, found out he had pancreatic cancer after developing jaundice in summer 2022. Sadly, his cancer had spread to other organs and Pete passed away six months later, aged 66. Judy talks about their shock at his diagnosis and her wish to raise awareness of the symptoms.

Nicola had a few weeks of bloating, followed by pale, oily stools and weight loss. She was diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer. After chemotherapy, Nicola was able to have surgery to remove the cancer. Nicola shares her 'roller coaster' year from diagnosis through treatment on to recovery.
