We know pain can be an issue for your patients with pancreatic cancer and can impact them in a variety of ways. During this session we looked at what types of pain there are, what causes them, how to assess them and what treatment and methods there are to manage them.

Our speakers


Dan Monnery, The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre

Dan Monnery is a consultant in palliative medicine at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in Liverpool and the national lead for Enhanced Supportive Care (ESC) within the UK Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (UKASCC), having been the NHSE national clinical advisor from 2021-22. His clinical work focuses on early symptom intervention through integration of supportive care services and he has a special interest in HPB cancer. Dan’s non-clinical interest is in development of quantitative outcome measures from ESC and palliative care interventions to help drive commissioning in this area.
