“Tragically, more than half of all people with pancreatic cancer will die within three months of diagnosis – even in a ‘normal’ year. Delays to treatment during the first wave of the pandemic will have had heart-breaking consequences for people with this devastating disease and their loved ones.

“There has been a huge demand for both our patient information and the support of our nurses from people feeling frightened, frustrated and alone. We’re determined to be here for everyone affected by pancreatic cancer throughout this crisis and beyond. To make that happen we need the football community to stand with us and transfer a small amount of their passion for the beautiful game to help us tackle the deadliest common cancer.”
