Text to donate

Text giving is a quick and easy way to help transform the future for all those affected by pancreatic cancer.

All you need to do is send a text message from your mobile phone to a special, five-digit text message number. The donation gets added to your pay monthly bill or taken off your pay as you go credit.

You can choose one of the following options:

  • Text 7PCUK to 70085 to donate £7 and to receive further information and marketing.
  • Text 5PCUK to 70085 to donate £5 and to receive further information and marketing.
  • Text 10PCUK to 70085 to donate £10 and to receive further information and marketing.

To donate and receive no future marketing messages and opt-out from any further contact text 7PCUKNOINFO or 5PCUKNOINFO or 10PCUKNOINFO

Messages will cost the donation amount plus one standard network rate message.

Unless otherwise stated, there will be no refunds for the cost of any SMS donation made, or for any misdialled short codes or misspelled keywords.
All supporters must obtain permission from the bill payer before sending a text message. If you are under 16 years old, you must have your parent or guardian’s permission before signing up to our campaigns.

How do I donate via text?

You can donate by text message by sending the given keyword to the shortcode. This will cost your donation amount plus one standard rate message.

What happens when I donate via text?

You will be charged the donation amount plus the cost of your standard network rate.
If you choose to donate regularly via text  your gift will be activated and your first donation will be immediately charged to your phone bill or pay-as-you-go credit.

Will I be contacted again?

When donating you have the option to provide marketing consent. If you choose to provide consent, then we may contact you via text message or mobile phone about this and other campaigns. You can find out more in our Privacy Policy here which also includes details of how you can opt-out of receiving marketing.

Can I add Gift Aid on my donation?

Yes you can. After making a donation, you will receive a link to a Gift Aid form via text message. Simply complete this form to apply Gift Aid to your donation.

Terms & Conditions

  • The SMS donations services to Pancreatic Cancer UK are supplied by a third party provider. We are therefore not liable for any delays or failures in your receipt of any SMS messages. Delivery is subject to transmission from your network operator and processing by your mobile phone device.
  • Our Text Giving service provider, Donr, charges us a fee equivalent to 5% +VAT of each donation, so for every £1 you donate, £0.94 will be received by Pancreatic Cancer UK.
  • 100% of any Gift Aid given on your donation will be processed and received by our charity.
  • When you make a text donation, this will either be deducted from your mobile phone credit (Pay as You Go) or added to your mobile phone bill.
  • You may be charged a standard rate message for your text message (refer to your network operator for further information).
  • You must ask the bill payer’s permission before making a donation. If you are under 16 years old, you must have your parent or guardian’s permission to send a text donation to us.
  • You should receive a confirmation of your donation by text from Donr within an hour of sending this text.
  • If at any time you encounter any problems when making a text donation, you can contact the Donr Helpline by calling 0333 4444 111.
  • Donr provides Text Giving and other fundraising services to charities who are registered in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. You cannot donate using this service from a Channel Islands, Isle of Man or other non-UK mobile. If you donate using this service from a UK mobile outside England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, you may incur additional network charges.
  • Donr is a private, UK-registered company (company number: 10402410).
  • If the keyword or short code you text are invalid you may still be charged, but your donation may not come to Pancreatic Cancer UK.
  • Data obtained from you in connection with this SMS service may include your mobile number, your carrier’s name, and the date, time and content of your messages and other information that you may provide. For further information on how Donr uses your personal data please see their Privacy Policy at www.donr.com/privacy-policy 
  • If you Gift Aid your donation, Pancreatic Cancer UK will receive the following data about you: First Name, Surname and Postal Address (including postcode)
  • Pancreatic Cancer UK will not use your personal data for marketing purposes unless you have given consent for us to do so.
  • Please note that we may use different keywords for certain events or campaigns; however, the above procedure and terms will still apply.
