Join one of our free online support sessions

If you’re living with pancreatic cancer, or supporting somebody who is, we encourage you to come along to one of our online support sessions. They’re free, held on Zoom, and open to anyone in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The sessions are relaxed and informal, allowing you to ask a specialist nurse any questions you might have, as well as connect with others going through a similar experience.

FAQs

How do I join a session?

Our online support sessions are held on Zoom. After you book, we will send you an email with a link to join the session. You can join on a computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone – any device with an internet connection.

If you’d like some support with using Zoom, we’re happy to provide this. We can arrange a one-to-one call before the session to answer any questions and troubleshoot any issues. If you’d like this, you can let us know when you book.

If you don’t have access to the internet, you can also dial in from a standard telephone. If you’d like to join the session in this way, please call our Support Line and we can talk you through it.

Will I have to have my camera on?

No. It’s always lovely to see friendly faces, but there is no pressure to have your camera on if you’d prefer not to.

We will do brief introductions at the start of each session, but again, there is no pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with. If you’d prefer just to listen in, that’s absolutely fine – you can say ‘pass’ and you won’t be ‘picked on’!

Can I join from outside the UK?

As a national charity, we’re not able to advise on treatment and care options for pancreatic cancer in other parts of the world. For this reason, these sessions are limited to people based in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

I'm a healthcare professional - can I join?

These sessions are just for people with a personal connection to pancreatic cancer, but we offer separate events, training and resources for healthcare professionals to help you support your patients.

You will come away with some learning, resources and most importantly the sense of connection. The knowledge that there are people in similar circumstances and people who are willing to help is priceless.
